September 2012

Unlike last year’s trip, I have no grand design like crossing the entire country this time.

Instead, I used a program I found to generate random locations around a point I designated the center of the continental U.S. – a bit off from the “official” center, but it’ll do.

The first location ended up in the Atlantic Ocean, so I ignored it. The second was in Canada, and not the populated part either. Also ignored.

The ones that did fall within the continental U.S. were – well, I’d prefer to keep that as a surprise for now. Suffice it to say I’ll be making another big loop around the country. I’ll add to this page – and of course make the usual blog posts – as appropriate.
